It is indeed an exciting day for my family and me. It is a good day for all of us. Over the years, we have enjoyed some successes and endured many changes. We have weathered many storms, rising to the occasion as a people who derive strength from our diversities.
Today we begin a new era with even stronger determinations for Ferriday's future:
* For a strong economy
* For a stronger educational system
* For a stronger sense of purpose and well-being for our citizens
I am deeply honored to have been elected your mayor and to have the opportunity to work with you for the next four years as we begin to move Ferriday forward.
